How we work

Four clear steps, from question to implementation.

A considered technical process built around the material, the application and the decisions you need to make. You always know what happens next.

Define the challenge

We start with your application, material, process and the outcome you need.

Tell us about the application, current material and process, the issue you are seeing and what success would look like. Existing test reports or production observations can help focus the conversation.

Plan the investigation

Agree the scope, available data, evaluation methods and practical next steps.

Together, we identify what is known, what needs investigating and which activities are appropriate. The project scope sets out responsibilities, deliverables and timing before technical work begins.

Develop the solution

Review formulations, processing conditions and test findings to refine the approach.

The work may involve formulation review, material comparison, processing trials or characterisation. Findings are considered against the original requirements rather than in isolation.

Support implementation

Translate findings into recommendations, trials and technical documentation.

Recommendations are translated into a practical handover: trial priorities, technical documentation and considerations for implementation. Follow-on support can be scoped as the project develops.

Before the first call

Bring the context. We’ll help frame the question.

Next step

Tell us about your technical challenge.

Material, process or application — a short conversation is enough to agree the next step.
